Hey this is Mike McCready, your host on episode 92 of The Hookblast Podcast.

OK, you know… I don’t make this podcast so excellent for the money.  I don’t even do it for the fame, but this is the podcast that is currently topping the music podcast charts in the country of Turkey these past few weeks… and my wife told me that she really wants to enjoy my newfound celebrity… she said we would both enjoy it to the max if I move there for a while.

Anyway, I might sound a little different than usual in this episode. My microphone broke and I’m working on a deadline so I had to make do. I love deadlines… I love the whooshing sound they make as they go by.

Anyway, This is the 10-minute podcast where we discover a few new catchy songs. You add the ones you love to your own streaming playlists or follow mine at hookblast.com. You rock out all week and the next week, we repeat.

OK. Let’s play some hooks.

Kicking off the podcast is a funky Christmas song from the artist MWW. I really like funky songs…. Yeah, in fact, I can work the lyrics of Uptown Funk into any conversation I’m having…. Don’t believe me? Just watch.

Hehehehe…. See what I did there.  That’s why I’m the best podcast host in the whole history of podcast hosts.

This is One Holy Night.

On the heels of One Holy Night is a song from Suzanne’s Band that explores how we should celebrate and appreciate the people who are around our Christmas tree at the holidays all year long. Speaking of which, this is a good time for a public service announcement. This holiday season, remember to water your Christmas Tree… Last year we forget…. but it’s ok, in the end, the fire department came and watered it for us.

This is Underneath the Tree

That’s underneath the Tree.

I told my wife I was going to put our Christmas tree up myself this year. She said it was a nice idea but that I should just put it in the living room again.

Yeah well, I got her back when I was stringing up the Christmas lights because she was shocked when she found out what I bad electrician I am. Hehehe. Yeah, I give you the ho ho ho’s, don’t I?

The Hookblast Podcast is sponsored by Music Xray and as my holiday gift to you,  I’ll keep it brief. Just like the briefs that music industry professionals post on Music Xray describing what kind of songs they’re looking for and how much they pay to license the songs they chose from among those that are submitted. New artist users can apply the promo code hookblast21 at checkout.

OK. Robert Michael Phelan Is here with a Christmas song with a straightforward title, It’s Christmas.

Robert Michael Phalen says he wrote that song on his outdoor deck in July in 90 degree weather.

As you know, despite all the commercialism and gift buying, my wife likes to remind me that the holidays is a time to remember the boy who became famous the world over and who everyone loves, and whose father was a carpenter named Joseph. But I remind her that technically, Pinoccio’s father was named Giuseppe, but I guess that’s just Joseph in Italian.

Anyway, speaking of carpenters, artist, Don Rebic is here with a song that is reminiscent of the brother and sister duo from the 70’s called The Carpenters.

This is Merry Christmas To Us All

Coming in last today on the podcast….  I came in last in my high school golf tournament.  My coach told everyone it takes a lotta balls to golf the way I do…Anyway, This song was inspired by retro soul, innuendo-laden, tongue-in-cheek Holiday songs.

This is Stone Soul with Santa’s Big Red Organ… Uf, I’m gonna have to mark this episode not safe for work.

Ok. That’s all the time we have for episode 92 of The Hookblast Podcast. Please share this episode with someone in your life who can use a few new catchy songs in their life. They’re usually the ones humming the same old Christmas carols. All songs are used with the permission of the rights holders. I’ll catch you right back here next week with a fresh batch of new hooks. Bye bye.
