hehehe… OK. I’m just your host on this Bonus Episode 1 of The Hookblast Podcast. Bonus episode you ask? Well I was gonna finish my intro before explaining that but since I brought it up, season 4 finished last week and season five doesn’t kick off until July, so in the meantime, these are bonus episodes. Oh, and THESE episodes are also sharable. All my other episodes? Those are sharable too.
The song you hear playing now is from Johnny Chase and it’s called Invincible. My grandfather thought he was invincible… but I remember the last words he said to me right before he died…. Mike, are you still holding the ladder?
Invincible was written while Johnny was dealing with the loss of his 2-year-old son. It’s about how a loss like that can make us numb and eventually contribute to who we become.
Up next is Jammy Harris with a song he wrote about the frustrations of being a musician who pours their heart and soul into creating what they hope will be a hit song, only to be met with rejection. Heh… I know something about that. I struggle with depression. This morning I woke up and thought…. well, better luck next time.

Wow! That song made me feel better… like I wanna party. But I don’t party anymore. The last time I did I was in Vegas for a few days and when I got home my wife was so mad and went on and on and said, How would you like it if you didn’t see me for 3 days? Well by that time I was mad too so I said, that’d be great! Well, I didn’t see her for three days…. but by the fourth day the swelling went down enough so I could see her again… anyway….As long as we’re feeling good now, let’s keep it going. This is WILD with Back To You.
Hey! This show is turning out to be a good one isn’t it? Yeah, ok, well WILD want you to know that that song is not about Christianity, although I can see how some might construe it that way. My wife says I treat her like a god. Well, not in those exact words… actually she says I ignore her until I need something from her.
