Script:

Hey this is Mike McCready, your host on episode 66 of The Hookblast Podcast and probably the only guy in the history of dentistry who got thrown out of the dentist for dancing.  Yeah…  well they asked to see how I floss…. and my version of the dance isn’t safe for work so…   I guess I’m looking for a new dentist.

I just wanted to put that out there at the top of the show.  Ya know… if there’s a dentist out there who’s listening, call me. I promise to do the safe-for-work version and I won’t play with the Xray machine when you leave the room.  hahaha….  I made a butt Xray….  ok it was just a photocopy. Anyway, this is the podcast where we discover a few new catchy songs. I only play the hooks so you can sing along by the second or third time you listen to this episode.  Yeah… I’ve started to pay extra to make these episodes reusable.  And the hooks are especially good to floss to….  but I’ll wait to talk to the new dentist about that. This isn’t the time or place for this conversation. I don’t know why I keep talking about it…. I wish I’d just stop.

You add the songs you love to your streaming playlists or following mine at hookblast.com. You rock out all week and the next week we repeat.  OK… I gotta admit… I forgot to rock out all week this time. I’m going to have to double-rock-out this week. My schedule’s so full, I’ll probably have to put off online law school again.

OK. Let’s play some hooks!

First up is a song from returning artist Sadie. She wants to know why everyone likes bad boys.  My wife says I’m quite the bad boy.  Well, actually she says I’m bad at everything. This is: Bad Boyz Are Overrated

OK. That’s a great female empowerment song to remind you not to settle. I-I probably shouldn’t play that one here at homeUp next on the show is a great pick-me-up track from Reggie aka Rmm3 (I don’t know how to say that), but it’s a song for when you need a little motivation.  This is Dream Catchers.

That’s Dream Catchers. Speaking of dreams, my fortune cookie said my dreams will come true. I really hope they don’t, cuz then I’ll be in my underwear in the school hallways, late for a test I didn’t study for, while all my teeth fall out.  Yeah, I’ve been having some weird ones lately. Up next is a song from Sabrina Signs called Coming Down Sick.  She wrote this songs before the pandemic about falling in love with someone so much that is overwhelms you and makes you sick. She delayed the release due to all the people who were literally coming down sick with COVID-19, but those she had shared it with privately thought the song actually fit the moment.  So this is Coming Down Sick.

That’s coming Down Sick. I don’t know about you, but I’m afraid of hospitals.  Last time I was in the hospital, right as they were putting me under the doctor said, “Calm down Alex, it’s just a minor surgery.”  I said, “I’m not Alex!”, and he said, “Oh I know.  I am.”OK.  Next up on the show is a bouncy uptempo track riddled with clever wordplay.  This is Step It Up from Forever Lives Yahweh

This next song was written during the darkest days of the pandemic…. maybe right around the time Harry and Meghan decided to step away from their family to spend more time with their jobs…….hehehehe I bet that’s the first time anyone has done that! hehehe  You know, because usually, people step away from their jobs to spend more time with their family.  Not that that had anything to do with the pandemic… I’m just setting the time frame.  This is an uplifting and upbeat song from Mr. Lunas called Sunshine

That’s Sunshine from Mr. Lunas. OK. That’s all the time we have for episode 66 of The Hookblast Podcast. This show is sponsored by Music Xray, where the industry identifies high potential songs and talent and offers them deals. All songs are used with the permission of the right holders. • Hi Evan I just realized I forgot to announce the results in episode 66. My bad. Apologies. The song with the most votes on episode 64 was Good To You by Elevate Me Later, but it was very close. Their song beat your song by only two votes. I think your song is very strong. Great job!!
